Sharky

INFORMATION
The philosophy of Eva Paster and Michael Geldmacher is based on observing nature and on a profound knowledge of contemporary lifestyles. To create the coupling elements between the structure and base of the Sharky chair, which won the Interior Innovation Award in 2015, the designers were inspired by the lightness and strength of shark fins. The result is a slimline, sinuous yet very hardwearing seat. The Sharky chair, stool with a high backrest and stool with a low backrest are available with wood legs or with painted aluminium legs with visible welded details. The polyurethane structure is made even more comfortable with a padded seat or cushions, available in a wide variety of colours. The option of adding a Lips cushion, designed for outdoor use, adds a touch of customization and extra comfort to these chairs.

ABOUT

The name comes from the two “fins” at the rear of the chair, the coupling between the frame and the base. The structure has a polyurethane finish and legs in solid beech wood or European oak. Sharky can be fitted with thin padding and upholstered in high-quality Kvadrat® fabric, in a choice of colours that provide many contrasting combinations.
The Sharky chair is the winner of the Interior Innovation Award 2015. Neuland designers have redone! After the success of 2012 with the Elephant chair  they won the Interior Innovation Award 2015, a prestigious award given by the German Design Council, with the Sharky chair.
