ABOUT

Design, in the words of its own author, arises “from the generosity of its proportions without thereby giving up a single ounce of its original character. Its lightness is due to proportional control as well as to certain details such as the spindle-like legs or the slight, almost imperceptible, inclination of the armrest that help slenderise the ensemble”.

As the designer explains, “the armchair has undergone a simplification exercise for the sake of greater visual cleanliness while the dimensions of the seat and backrest have been reduced to boost comfort, both aesthetically and functionally. This update increases its ability to adapt to different spaces and needs, thanks to the combination possibilities offered by the new fabrics, ropes and finishes of the structure”.

The armchair can be considered as the natural continuation of this collection made of galvanized steel tube and upholstered in resistant technical fabrics to guarantee its outdoor use. “Its tubular structure is covered by the rope braid which defines the collection and adds not only richness to the assortment of textures but also extra warmth”. Nido is radically contemporary in its conception and traditional in its manufacturing: an outstanding evidence of the beauty of handcrafted objects.
